Ouch. wish i had known that before i bought a brand new server for my VMWare install. I thought enough about it to make sure the server was on the list... but no idea i would have to check component level compatibility. what a huge disappointment. Guess I'll see what Dell can do to change out the controller. Thanks for the link to the controller list. At least I didn't keep beating my head against a wall here.
